First off, I need to apologise to my paid subscribers. They had a taste of this podcast, edited by me, and a few of the AI tools provided by CapCut. It was … OK. (Video editing is not my strong suit.) I decided I need to call in the professionals. Well, my best friend’s son, who is more proficient at AV than I am. So this is a new edit (the content is the same, it is just a bit more polished :-) ) So my paid subscribers didn’t miss any of the “good bits, I promise.
Now on to the very first episode of The Girl, Disrupted Podcast.
A couple of weeks ago, I read an article Dave Wallace published in Fintech Futures and posted in LinkedIn called The Three Body Problem. In this article Dave considers “a future world where AI agents control finance. This world may not be that far away. Agentic is the hot topic of 2025, with billions being poured into creating software that can plan, make decisions, and take actions toward a goal without needing constant human prompts.”
I thought it was interesting. When I noticed Jas Shah commented his interest in this idea on Dave’s LinkedIn post, I thought: Let’s get these two on a podcast.
The problem was, I hadn’t started a podcast. I decided not to let that stop me. After all, isn’t this what I did for most of lockdown? In the spirit of end-of-summer experimentation, here is Episode One of the Girl, Disrupted podcast.
Dave described our 45-minute discussion as “like a therapy session.”
What I learned:
I quite like the way I moderate a discussion
I quite hate editing video.
I need to fix my sound quality.
I hope you enjoy my freshman podcast efforts.
Cheers,
Liz
